Yes, I just read this post dated on February 3rd of this year written by whoever was running the official Zendik Facebook account:

"Sorry to say Rachel but we have officially disbanded. Lots of internal issues that could not be resolved. But the good news is a small number of us may be starting up a new collective in the near future! Friend Peiro Mele for more info if u are interested. Take care."

A lie cannot be sustained.
Cozmic Pizza Delivery must not have been so tasty after all.

Again, I think the core idea of Zendik Farm is workable without Arol and Fawn and the mistake they made.
I believe that a group of highly motivated artists, musicians, activists can make a difference by starting a peaceful Revolution.
ZF income generating model has been proven by the properties they have held and the people it has supported over the years.

Damn them!
I'll never be able to get them out of my head!

What are your thoughts concerning the children brought up on the farm? I presume they know little of life beyond their experience on the farm, no matter where the farm has been located. I imagine that becoming part of the world will be very difficult for them.

And then there's Fawn. No longer royalty, how will she manage in a world where she can't command?

Hi there - I'm a longtime reader and it's good to see you post here, if only minimally. I just wanted to drop a line to see if you have read Lauren Groff's novel, Arcadia. It reminded me a bit of the experiences you've related here. It's beautifully written, as a bonus, but I thought it might interest you to read.

Yes, I have read Arcadia. A recent graduate of my MFA program recommended it to me last fall. I loved it. I especially loved the interplay between the hippie communards and their Amish neighbors. Also, I enjoyed the story's roots in upstate New York's utopian history - the former inhabitants of the Arcadians' property seem to be solidly based on the real-life Oneidans.
